
Join The Greenbelt Task Force's
Second Saturday's Trail Crews
The Green River Greenbelt Task Force (GBTF), in order to help the City of Green River (City) maintain greenbelt pathways and open space areas will organize a Second Saturday Volunteer Program starting May 10, 2025.
The GBTF and the City's Parks and Recreation Department will identify projects each month. Each project will be structured to be completed in a specific amount of time (normally 4 hours or less) by a specific number of qualified volunteers.
Projects will vary each month but will include:

Constructing and maintaining trails

Habitat improvements along trails and in open space areas

Installing signs, benches or other amenities

Installing or repairing fence

Planting trees

Painting

Lunch will be provided by local businesses. Equipment and supplies will be provided by the GBTF or City of Green River (City). There will be two shifts 8 am - 12 pm and 1 pm to 5 pm. All shifts will eat lunch at noon.
Gloves, eye protection and other safety equipment are the responsibility of the participants themselves.
